of expertise and experience to the learning programs. They are active
insurance professionals who come with a diverse insurance background
and enjoy training.
Kym
Martell, CRM, CIC, AAI
President
With over 25 years experience in the insurance industry,
Kym brings to her clients a wealth of experience from her diverse insurance background.
A background which includes Agency Management,
Risk Management, Sales, Claims and Customer Service.
During her long and productive business career,
Kym discovered she had a love for and a talent in training insurance professionals.
As a result, Kym left the corporate world in 1995 and founded
K.M. Associates - Insurance Management and Training Consultants.
Kym has designed, developed and delivered continuing education and
professional training programs for a variety of clients, including
professional organizations, insurance companies and agencies and insurance
brokerage firms. She has also served as a state faculty member of the
Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New Jersey since 1992,
national faculty member of Agents & Brokers of America for providing their
E&O Risk Management Programs, and a national faculty member of Polestar
Training Programs which provides sales and coaching to insurance
professionals.
Her extensive corporate and consulting experience perfectly positions
Kym to provide technical as well as sales, agency management and fraud
prevention training to insurance professionals at all levels and her
superior communication skills are assets specifically suited to her
coaching role.
Kym holds several professional designations including Certified
Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and the
Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI).
Cathy
Trischan, CPCU, CRM, CIC, AAI, AU, CRIS
Training Consultant
Cathy Trischan has worked for the E&K Agency in Eatontown, NJ since 1996.
She is the manager of the Commercial Lines Department and works directly with E&K's
largest clients. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and
began her insurance career upon graduation. She has worked as a claims adjuster for a
major property and casualty carrier as well as in the commercial departments of several large,
New Jersey agencies.
Cathy holds several professional designations including CPCU, CIC and CRM.
She received an Award for Academic Excellence from the Insurance Institute of
America and is a participant in the CPCU Society's Continuing Professional
Development program.
Cathy has taught pre-licensing courses to individuals entering the
insurance business and continuing education courses for established insurance
practitioners. She has taught for Professional Insurance Agents, Brookdale
Community College and other institutions. She is a member of the National
Alliance faculty, and teaches in both the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) programs.
Robert
W. Teschke
Executive Management Consultant
Bob Teschke is an industry veteran, beginning his insurance career in
1972. Prior to joining K.M. Associates in 2005, he has spent his entire
career with The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.
In Bob's 33 years with Chubb, he held a
variety of positions of increasing responsibilities, including
management roles in Underwriting, Marketing, Human Resources, and
Branch Management. His most recent role was the President/CEO of PLI
Brokerage, Chubb's national independent insurance agency with over 300
employees and 28 offices nationwide. Bob is currently doing executive
management consultancy work, and is also one of the managing partners of Polestar,
a national sales training organization for the insurance industry.
He also taught numerous insurance,
management, and skill development programs throughout his career. In
his Managing Director capacity, he also worked closely with Senior
Management on a variety of initiatives, from strategic planning,
expense control, and M&A initiatives.
Bob is a 1972 graduate of Waynesburg College
with a BS degree in Business Administration. He resides in Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania with his wife Carol, and has two grown children.
